Spaces are being designed with student and faculty attraction and retention in mind. The result is attractive, innovative spaces campus-wide in which faculty, staff and students are better able to work, collaborate, teach and learn.

Collaboration with the project's architect and contractor lead to the creation of a showcase on campus. This much needed library update, after a devastating flood, placed emphasis on academic wellness in an environment that provides secure, engaging and attractive functionality in a collection of high-profile 'Small Group Learning Areas' within the Main Library at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.

This space was installed in 2014 as the first step of a whole library renovation plan. Its primary purpose is to be used as one of Ile-de-France Digital University's Faculty Development Center. Thereby, it intends to foster new teaching practices from the attendees especially through its collaborative features . Fixed collaborative tables are equipped with shareable screens, themselves shareable all across the room through a video network system.

Flexible, versatile space used for teaching and learning primarily dedicated to supporting Modern Languages and Literatures and Film and Media Studies, but available to the campus. Space is co-located with the Modern Languages Department and Classrooms often used by the Department. Kohlberg Hall also houses the Film and Media Studies Department. The furniture is tiered, not the floor. Break out areas for small group discussions. Support for technology, but not embedded into the furniture. Mobile furniture to support various needs of the faculty and students within the space. Stimulating colors and natural light to stimulate creativity.
